President

Ashref Hashim, founder and president of the Blackstone Group, has transformed the firm from a one-person company to the headquarters of an international enterprise, with an impressive range of U.S. and multinational clients.

Mr. Hashim’s more than two decades of experience in all aspects of custom research and consulting for strategic decision making leveraging the complete range of methodologies. He is instrumental in providing value to each engagement the Blackstone Group has undertaken.

He has lectured and presented papers at many universities and spoken at seminars and conferences for leading organizations such as the ESOMAR and the American Marketing Association. Ashref continues to serve in various positions for many not-for-profit professional organizations.

Mr. Hashim devotes much time to supporting the work of the Indian community in Chicago through the Indo-American Center, as a board member and past president. He also serves the community through other cultural and development organizations.

He received a Master’s degree from the University of Madras where he also served as a Research Fellow. He also studied at the University of Chicago.
